Nakedness and Power

This nine-page graphic narrative, Nakedness and Power, features Kenyan and Nigerian women’s peaceful political actions, in 1992 and 2002, in which they employed the tactic of naked protest. The comic then turns to the circulation of this tactic around the globe in the post-9/11 women’s and peace movements.

The comic was first published in World War Three Illustrated in 2004. It was also selected for inclusion Harvey Pekar and Anne Elizabeth Moore’s Best American Comics (Houghton Mifflin) in 2006.
